Whether you are 15 or 50, you can spot the secure person in the room, and likewise you can spot the person insecure person. This is not something that is age specific or you just grow out of, many never do. Knowing who you are does not happen by accident. It takes setting aside time to process through the lies and false thoughts, to land of the truth of who you are. Identity is the doorway to someone’s destiny, and our identity is being fought for every day. Our hope is that this summer camp is able to solidify the identity of our students. They are a child of God. They are KNOWN by their Creator, and when our identity is KNOWN, it changes everything.

We are bringing in a man who has spent decades helping people find their God given identity, his name is Jamie Winship. A former cop in the Metro DC Area, Jamie Winship has spent over 25 years in the Muslim world, teaching people how to hear from God and live in his Kingdom. Jamie and his wife Donna speak around the US and across the globe. Together, they serve as catalysts to help people find their God-given identity and experience a life of freedom. Jamie teaches through dynamic storytelling and real-life application, in ways that allow people to experience the reality of hearing God's voice in their daily lives. His teaching has helped thousands of people discover their true destiny.

Throughout the week our desire is to see students put in different environments to experience the presence God. Whether it’s going rafting with a group of friends, praying for a stranger, or passionately worshiping each student will be challenged to take risks and grow in their faith. Our prayer is that each student leaves camp with a clear understanding of who they are in Jesus, and that impacts every area of their life.

Our heart is that each student will identify, develop, and walk out in the amazing gifts that God has given them. We believe that you are never too young to be used by God, so we exist to provide opportunities for the next generation to step out in their faith. We strive to partner with parents as they disciple their students and support them throughout the process.

YG meets every Wednesday night at 7PM at City Harvest Church.

On Wednesday nights at YG, students can expect to experience worship, preaching, small groups nights, event nights, and  engaging our community through serving and prayer.

Wednesday, May 23 we will be meeting at Prairie High School at 7PM.

generation ministries

GenMin is focused on the growing faith of birth through college age individuals. From the first time an infant comes into the nursery at Kids Church until college graduation there is a cohesive and congruent plan of imparting the Word of God and creating an atmosphere to have a thriving relationship with Jesus Christ.
