Bible Study Opportunities

Pastor/Teacher
The Word of God is at the top of our list of priorities at City Harvest Church. We offer several opportunities to study God's Word including our Bethel Bible Course, School of Ministry and selected studies offered by Staff.

Bible Studies

City Harvest Church offers many Biblically centered training opportunities such as School of Ministry (SOM), Real Life Family Ministries (RLFM), City Harvest Church Bible School, and more.

We also offer "Adult Bible Study". While some of these offerings are topical studies of Scripture, we want to regularly offer expository verse by verse studies of the Bible. Here is a current offering of these classes:

Sunday Morning: Matthew

On the First Sunday in March 2008 we began a study of the book of Matthew. This class meets at 9:00am (during the first Sunday morning service). The class is 1-1/2 hours long and childcare is provided. This is an "OPEN" class so you can begin at any point in the series. Please don't feel like you shouldn't come jsut because you didn't get in on the beginning.

The class is led by Pastor/Teacher Bob Goldsby and will be recorded to provide members with the opportunity to review and/or study outside of the classroom.Come and walk with Jesus and His disciples as the Messiah proclaims the purposes and will of the Father. Be there as Jesus trains His disciples and commissions them for their destiny.

The teacher has walked the land and seen the sites covered in the Gospel of Matthew. You're going to love this class!

Saturday Morning: Genesis

This class meets every Saturday morning from 6:00am to 8:00am. Our Saturday morning Bible study is not your traditional Bible Study. We take time to thoroughly examine the text and address questions and issues of each student. The class is open and you may join at any time.  We provide coffee as well as a snack break (usually doughnuts). This is a small class, usually under twenty people, so there is great interaction.

The teacher is Mike Woodward. Mike is a long time Bethel Teacher and teacher Trainer. You will find many familiar stories that you learned as a child. Here they will be studied in a way that helps you lay hold of the full Biblical account. We are confident that you will find this class very valuable. We look forward to this study of Genesis, "The Book of Beginning" with you.

Do you ever wonder, “What’s the big idea?” Do you want to know what is going on? Do you want to know why God made you? Or What your destiny is? Come join us as we take a look at the beginning of all things. In our study of Genesis we will look at God’s intent for creation, including us. Join us as we see the beginning of the Covenant that upholds all our relationship with God, the fulfillment of which is the very life and work of Jesus.

To understand our place in His Story, we must know how the Story begins. Here are a few of the events this wonderful book of beginnings covers:

The Creation
The Fall of Man
Cain and Abel
Descendants of Adam
The Flood
Descendants of Noah
Universal Language, Babel, Confusion
Abram Journeys to Egypt
Abram and Lot
