To know what a local church is to do today it needs to know where it is going.  We need to know what we are trying to accomplish, and what God has commanded us to do.  When this is understood by a community of believers, they come under one banner of purpose to use their resources and talents to accomplish that goal.  That goal is called vision.  Vision describes what a local church is to do.  That vision is based on specific values that tell us why we do what we do.

The vision of CHC is based on 20 values.  These values are:

• We Value The Centrality Of The Word To Everything We Do.

• We Value The Grace Of God As The Means By Which God Saves And Transforms People. 

• We Value The Presence Of God As Necessary To Fulfill God’s Will.

• We Value The Miraculous Restoration Of The Person Through The Power Of The Holy Spirit.

• We Value Individual And Corporate Prayer As The Key To Releasing God’s Purpose In The Church.

• We Value The Great Commission As Christ’s Mandate To The Church.

• We Value The Church As People Not A Building.

• We Value Body Centered Ministry As God’s Means Of Building His Church.

• We Value The “Two Winged” Approach Of Public Gatherings And House To House Ministry As The Most Effective Means Of Releasing Body Centered Ministry.

• We Value Relationships As The Context To Drive Vision And Purpose.

• We Value The Five Fold Ministry As God’s Tool To Develop Leadership.

• We Value Multiplication As A Sign Of Blessing And Spiritual Health.

• We Value The Concept Of An Eldership Led By A “Set Man” As The Biblical Form Of Government.

• We Value Relieving Poverty As A Moral Responsibility Of The Church.

• We Value The Transformation Of A Community As The Focus Of A Local Church.

• We Value The Prophetic Commission To Be An Apostolic Church.

• We Value The Family As The Foundation Of Society And The Church.

• We Value The Mandate To Transfer God’s Truth And Purpose to The Next Generation.

• We Value Every Member Of The Local Church.

• We Value Christian Financial Stewardship As The Prerequisite for God To Bless His People And Extend His Kingdom.
