June 08 Letter:

Blessings to all our friends and family,

Is it just us, or is time flying by.  It seems like just yesterday that we were writing about the great victory the Lord gave the church in Samuhu when all the congregations met together for a big worship service for Pentecost.  Since then we have notice a change in the spiritual atmosphere.  New families are visiting the church, some of the other pastors in town have come by to thank us for the work the Lord is allowing us to do in Samuhu, and we know this is marking a new season for Christ in Samuhu.  This does not mean that we are without our struggles, but we are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus.  He is giving us the strength and wisdom to advance over every obstacle.  We know in great part that we receive much strength from many of your prayers.  Thank you and keep it up.  It means a lot to us.

Fathers to their children y children to their fathers
At the end of the Old Testament in Malachi we find a promise that says that God would turn the hearts of the fathers to their children and the hearts of the children to their fathers.  I think we can agree that worldwide the need a serious touch of God in the families.  Samuhu is in desperate need of a touch of God in the families as well.  In the church we have two couples who have been married by law for a number of years, but when they got married they went at different times to sign the papers because they were embarrassed to be their together.  A 14 year old boy in the youth group recently had his dad beat him in the back with a plastic hose until his older brother grabbed the dad by the throat to make him stop.  About a week ago there was a woman and her son who came to the house because they were afraid that the husband and father was going to hurt them.  We even have one couple who is living in adultery and claim to be Christians whom have been coming to our church.  After talking with them about what God would have for their lives still think that it is perfectly alright to live the lifestyle they are living.  Obviously we are facing a number a very heavy situations.  The Lord is giving us a grace to counsel and point people to the Lord, but it is a heavy battle.  We have marriage encounters once a month to establish a biblical vision for marriage and we are constantly talking to the kids about what God would have for them in the future if they would trust the Lord.  Please pray for the Lord to touch the people of Samuhu and Chaco for the restoration of the families.  Continue to pray that the Lord would use us to take great leaps forward for the cause of the families in Argentina.

We Are Pregnant
Speaking of families, our is getting a little bit bigger.  Right now there is a little guy or girl growing in Jessica's womb (If you ask Anthony it is a girl, if you ask Jessica it is a boy, but whatever the Lord brings will be wonderful).  We are about 14 weeks along (yes we, the womb is Jessica's, but pregnancy is for the both of us).  Jessica is doing well, no major symptoms other than a little fatigue.  She is such a strong woman.  We are very excited about this new stage in our family.  We pray for the baby every day and we can't wait until December when the little one is due.  Please pray that everything goes well in the pregnancy and that a healthy energetic baby will come into this world.

Anniversary
Every year on June 20 the church celebrates it's anniversary.  It is always an exciting time to thank God for His faithfulness and to look forward to what He would continue to do in our midst.  In the middle of all that the Lord does on the anniversary, we take the time to eat a huge Asado (Argentine BBQ).  We had about 100 people with us enjoying the presence of God and eating a feast together.  We had a wonderful time.
We also take advantage of the time before the anniversary to fix the place up.  Many changes were made; we plastered the wall that marks the property since it was weak and had holes in it, we fixed the ceiling in the church where pieces were beginning to fall because of the humidity and the years, we painted the church inside and out, we fixed the sidewalk, and finished the new construction (a bedroom and bathroom attached to the kitchen we did last year).  I wish I could send some pictures, but the Internet connection here makes it difficult and very time consuming to do so.  With a new look and a new year ahead of us we are expecting great things from God.

We truly feel like you are part of the team.  Every one of you who prays for us and supports us financially give us so much strength to move forward.  The truth is it would be next to impossible to do what we are doing without your encouragement and support.  Yes God can do anything, but we are so blessed to be able to partner with you to see the Gospel advance in this very needy province in Northern Argentina.  We thank you so much.  Please feel free to write us an email and ask us questions or tell us a little bit about your lives.  May God richly bless your lives as you have so richly blessed ours.

May God richly bless you and increase your faith more and more that He can use you and can do great things in your lives even if the circumstances seem very dismal all around.  We serve a mighty God!,

April 08 Letter:

God´s richest blessing to our beloved friends and family,
It seems like time is really flying by.  With each new month that passes we find that God is surprising us more and more.  It is such a great privilege to serve God here in northern Argentina.  Here are a few testimonies of what has been happening in the last month.

Building.

With the seemingly constant flow of visitors that have been coming to Samuhu, and the lack of classroom space for Sunday School, we are on another construction project.  This one is to build a bedroom with a bathroom onto the kitchen that we built last year.  This will be a great blessing for both the ability to minister to the people in Samuhu, and to be able to host the people whom the Lord brings to help minister in the Church.  Please pray that everything goes smoothly and quickly so we don´t get hung up on construction, and that we would maintain our focus on discipling people in Christ.

Broadening our horizons.

This last week we had the privilege of traveling around the Chaco area with Tom, Dana, and Fairlight Fitzgerald, and an Argentine couple who are Ministering in Chaco.  Tom has had a vision to see the people of Chaco walking in the freedom of Christ for a long time.  As we traveled to many different towns he was able to share this message while Anthony translated.  This team was able to spend a couple of days in Samuhu, where they really blessed the people.  It was a great blessing to have them come spend some time at our church.
As we traveled we had a wonderful time getting to know a lot of different co-laborers in Christ around this region.  As we went to many towns we were able to see even more clearly the great need for God to raise up many life giving churches.  Many churches have a mixture of witchcraft and the gospel.  Others are caught up in traditions and legalism.  There are also many towns without any churches at all.  There are some bright shining lights, but it is obvious that the field needs a lot of plowing and sowing for the Gospel to really be clearly communicated and represented in Chaco.
One portion of our trip we spent some time in Saenz Pena.  This is the location that the Lord is leading us to plant the base for church planting here in Chaco.  We were able to make some friends with some wonderful and influential people in the City.  We feel like the Lord is really opening a door for us there.  We are excited about the future work that God is preparing for us.

The Youth.

Just over two weeks ago we did an event for the youth in our church called ´Hecho Pelota´.  This term basically means that something is totally ruined.  We drew the conclusion that without Christ your life is totally ruined.  We had the youth invite their friends who have never gone to church before.  We announced that we were going to give away a soccer ball a basketball and a volleyball (Ball in Spanish is Pelota, hence the connection between the title of the outreach and the giving away of the sports equipment).  That Friday night the church was loaded with over 30 youth, about half of whom had never been in church before.  What is really awesome is that the next Friday we still had over 30 youth.  Obviously they were drawn to something more than just athletic equipment.  Please pray that we will be able to disciple all these young people and help them to really connect with God in a powerful way.
Once again we truly want to thank you for your support both spiritually and financially.  We are giving it our all here to see lives saved by the gospel, and to see a mighty church rise up here in Chaco, Argentina.  We could not be doing what we do without you.  Your role in this ministry is vital and we truly cannot thank you enough for what you are doing for this ministry.  God is expanding the vision and we are excited to walk out our destiny in Christ with all of our precious and wonderful friends and family.

May God richly bless you and increase your faith more and more that He can use you and can do great things in your lives even if the circumstances seem very dismal all around.  We serve a mighty God!,

March 08 Letter:

To all our incredible friends and family,

Another great month has passed here in Chaco, Argentina and God has been moving in great ways.  We are so excited about serving God here and we are believing for God to continue to expand the vision to be able to touch many many lives for His name's sake.

Prophetic Assembly:
We recently had the privilege of having visit us Pastors Phil Harris and Randy Zeigler from City Harvest Church along with a brother Mike Pasa.  They came down to encourage us as missionaries and to help us in any way possible.  We had invited them to focus on prophetic ministry to the congregation.  As we worshiped the Lord in the church meetings, the presence of God came down, and God gave these men many prophetic words for the people in our congregation.  Through this ministry many people were awakened to gifts and calling that they never knew that they had.  Others were encouraged to continue pursuing what the Lord had already put on their hearts to do.  Others still were touched by the beautiful thoughts that God has for them and the intimate care he has for each of his precious children.  It was a beautiful time and the church was greatly encouraged.
After the prophetic assembly we went with these men to go scouting out different cities for future church plants.  We believe that the Lord is opening a door for us to go to Saenz Pena, a city right in the heart of Chaco, where we could really raise up a sending church to raise up and send out many church plant teams to the lost and forgotten towns in Chaco.  Please continue to pray that the Lord really confirms His will for our lives.

Lucila:
Lucila is a women in our congregation who recently went through a major operation in her mid section.  She was still dealing with pains in her stomach that worried her, but in one worship service she was healed.  Luis (a man who leads worship in our church) was singing a song where in one part it leads you to jump.  He said if you are dealing with pain in your body you need to jump by faith that God will heal you.  Lucila received the word of faith and jumped at the appropriate time and the pain went away instantly.  It has not been back since.

Agustina:
A young girl about 7 years old had her mom bring her to church one afternoon to have us pray for her.  She was dealing with serious stomach pains and was about to be taken into the hospital.  She came to church believing that God would heal her.  We prayed with her (Anthony, Jessica, and Phil Harris), the pains went away and have not come back since.  Praise God!!!

Lydia, Belen, Veronica:
These three women re-dedicated their lives the Lord last weekend.  Pray that we are able to disciple them well, so that they will not be in and out type Christians.

The Youth:
After these last couple of weeks, the youth have really felt encouraged and are stirred more than ever to serve the Lord.  Many of them were baptized with the Holy Spirit.  We believe that out of this small church in the middle of nowhere God is going to raise up some great men and women of God that shake the nations for His glory!

February 08 Letter:

God is moving in Chaco, Argentina:
Anthony and Jessica Rosier, Feb. Update.

To all our incredible friends and family,

The Youth:
This last month has been very interesting for the youth.  They worked very hard to get some money together to travel to Resistencia for summer camp.  By selling little pizza pockets called empanadas and Argentina style donuts they achieved their financial goal and off we went to camp.  The kids were blessed at camp.  They had a lot of fun, but most importantly God was touching their hearts.  On more than one occasion most of them were up at the altar crying before the Lord as He was ministering to their hearts.  After we returned back to Samuhu it seemed like the enemy was waiting to discourage the work that the Lord has done in their lives.  For about a week there were a number of struggles that we faced concerning the youth.  The Lord gave us wisdom and at the end the second week after camp 6 adolescents gave their hearts to the Lord.  What the enemy wanted to use to destroy the work of the Lord just opened the door for God to work more powerfully.  No matter what the enemy is throwing at our lives, God always has the upper hand, the victory is already won.  We just have to stay still and trust in what God is going to do and be obedient to follow His lead.  Keep praying for the youth, it is not easy for the kids these days to live lives devoted to God, but the light of the Lord will shine brighter and brighter in this up and coming generation.

Roberto and Claudia:
Roberto had an accident on his horse where he hit his head on the ground and was having trouble remembering people and his past.  He and his wife are from a farming community near Samuhu and they came to Samuhu to spend some time with Roberto´s family as he was recovering.  Jessica and I went to visit them and encourage Roberto and pray for him.  While we were talking to them we began to understand that they really had never given their hearts to the Lord.  Like a great majority of the people here they thought the Christian churches were just another option for help like the witch doctors or the hospital.  They had both visited regularly the witch doctors and this concerned us greatly.  We began to discuss with them the danger in this way of living.  We explained to them that witch doctors call on the rebellious angels whom fell from heaven and they are called demons.  We told them that only Jesus could truly help them in this life and give them the security of eternal life.  As we talked with them Claudia began to cry and we asked them if they really wanted to give their hearts to Jesus and trust in only him in this life.  They said yes and we prayed together as they accepted Jesus and Lord and Savior.  It was a beautiful morning.  Eventually they went back to their farm as Roberto is recovering just fine, and they are full of the love of God.  Please continue to pray that we can help a lot of people come out of the syncretism (mixture of different belief systems that are actually contradictory).  Please continue to believe with us for many souls to come to know Jesus personally.

Up and coming events:
-Jessica´s Dad´s wife is having a baby this week.  Maximo Jeremias Martinez.  Pray that all goes well with the delivery and for the health of the baby.

-In March we have the privilege of having Randy Ziglar, Phil Harris, and Mike Pasa from City Harvest Church coming down to minister to the church here for about a week and a half.  Pray that the Lord uses them mightily.

Continue to pray for the gathering of the pastors in Samuhu.  We have met with the pastors two times now and everything is going well.  Keep praying that our unity can grow to be a great testimony in the town and that God will work mightily through our working together.

Continue to pray for the Lord to guide our future.  We are working hard to raise up leaders in Samuhu so that they can function with or without our presence in the town.  The Lord has clearly called us to plant and raise up many churches in the lost and forgotten towns in Argentina.  We are looking for God to show us His perfect plan for accomplishing this task.

We love you all and are so blessed to have your encouragement, prayers, and support in every way.  We could not be here and focus our efforts like we are without you all.  We highly value your presence and important role you play in this ministry.  May the Lord to continue to greatly bless your lives and you are blessing us.

Dios los bendiga,
Anthony and Jessica Rosier

JANUARY 08 LETTER:

To all our incredible friends and family,

We just wanted to send everyone our love on this Christmas day.  It is awesome to be able to celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus.  In Argentina the family gets together on Christmas Eve and they usually eat a big meal together at about 10pm.  When midnight comes they do a toast, light off fireworks and give gifts to the little kids.  It is interesting because it is hot here being that it is summer now.  Anthony is used to colder wetter Christmas holidays, but this is a fun change.  Yesterday we had a great time with Jessica's family.  Today we are going to relax a bit and spend more time with the family.  We hope that you all are having a wonderful time with your families, and that you are being blessed by the Lord.

Ministry News and Prayer Requests:
The youth at the church are gearing up for summer camp.  They are cooking donuts and selling them around town to gather money for the camp.  This really brings the kids together and they are learning great teamwork skills.  Also, it has been great to see that a few other adults in the church have taken an interest in helping the youth.  They have been organizing these donut sales, and have really been a blessing.  This is exciting to see take place since we are constantly praying for God to raise up lots of leaders in this church to really carry the load of ministry together.  We believe that God is beginning to accomplish this already.  Please pray for the youth camp that will happen at the end of January.  Pray that the Lord really touches their hearts and gives them a deeper passion to love and serve God.

This last week Jessica's younger brother and his wife were able to come out to Samuhu to help us finish some of the necessary house repairs.  Primarily we needed to create some form of insulation from the heat.  Our ceiling was just metal, and with the heat here it is really tough to be comfortable or sleep sometimes.  The Lord helped us to finish putting in ceilings in the our room and in the bedroom next to us.  Also we were able to install a small window air conditioner in our bedroom.  These were timely fix ups since January is right around the corner and it can get up to about 115F here.

Please continue to pray for the families in Samuhu.  There truly are a lot of needs.  Pray that the Lord gives us wisdom beyond our years to really be able to minister to these hurting families.

Also, keep praying for leaders to rise up.  We would love to see a leadership team formed that can truly hear from God what He is wanting to do, and then go about accomplishing what the Lord would be calling them to do.  The hope is that the people who live in the town can rise up and lead their own people.  We are encouraging the people and sharing biblical truths with them along these lines, but we need God to truly touch their hearts and give them understanding and conviction concerning team leadership.  We are believing that God is going to raise up a mighty church in the middle of these small towns and places that have been largely forgotten and abandoned by the church in the past.  This is a precious people here, and we believe that God has great plans for them.

Merry Christmas once again,
Anthony and Jessica Rosier
